Ketamine Assisted

Psychotherapy

I am passionate about supporting the depth of self-discovery through altered states of consciousness. In addition to talk therapy, I also offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, and psychedelic integration.

  • Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is the use of ketamine within mental health treatment. It is not using ketamine as a replacement for therapy. The use of ketamine can support quicker insights because it lifts the veil of our created Self with our limiting beliefs and habitual thoughts, and allows for a quicker shift in perspective than sometimes otherwise believed to be possible. Ketamine also supports a shift from intellect to embodiment. In other words, going from "knowing" something, but struggling to believe it, to actually feeling and experiencing it within yourself.

  • Ketamine is a medication that has a 50 year history of safe use as an anesthesia in medical procedures. Used in lower doses, ketamine has been shown to be an effective treatment for many mental health conditions and is currently a legal option for mental health treatment. While ketamine is not a conventional psychedelic, it has psychedelic properties and creates an altered state of consciousness, similar to true psychedelic substances.

  • I'm a BIG believer in psychotherapy. That being said, talk therapy alone has its limitations. If you feel stuck in an unhelpful mindset, and you’re not experiencing improvements to your life with traditional therapy alone, a ketamine session can offer a break from your ordinary reality and may offer relief from your suffering. A ketamine experience can reveal truths otherwise buried in the psyche, or simply allow for peace of mind and contentment that perhaps you haven’t felt in a long time.

  • Preparation sessions: 1 hour therapy sessions intended to create a sense of safety, ensuring trust within our therapeutic relationship, within my office space, and within your own body and mind. Preparation also involves setting intentions for your experience.

Medicine sessions: 2 hour therapy sessions when the ketamine is administered. Half of the session involves you wearing an eye mask and headphones to support an inward journey. The other half of the session is intended for process and integration by beginning to talk about your experience.

Integration sessions: 1 hour therapy sessions to support you in uncovering insights from your experience and turning them into tangible tools; integrating your a-ha moments into routines and relationships; revealing your inner healing intelligence and empowering you to discover the answers you already have within.
